Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about StrongHealth DPC and how direct primary care works.

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model where you pay a simple monthly fee for unlimited primary care. No insurance billing, no copays—just direct access to your doctor via telehealth.

How can this save me money?

With no copays or surprise bills, you can often skip expensive urgent care visits and reduce your need for high-cost insurance plans. Many patients save money by combining DPC with a low-premium plan for emergencies.

Is this like concierge medicine?

Concierge practices typically bill insurance and charge extra fees. At StrongHealth DPC, your monthly membership covers everything — no hidden charges or paperwork.

What types of conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of health concerns including colds, infections, high blood pressure, diabetes, anxiety, depression, and more. Whether it's acute or chronic, we're here to help virtually.

Do you see children ?

We only see adults aged 18 and up. For pediatric care, we recommend partnering with a local pediatrician or a telehealth service that specializes in children.

Can I reach my doctor outside regular hours?

Absolutely. Members have secure text and messaging access to Dr. Shah even on weekends for urgent questions or quick follow-up needs.

What if I travel or move out of state?

You can still reach out for general support, but we can only provide telehealth visits to patients physically located in Florida, due to state licensing laws.

Will you share my medical records with anyone?

Nope. Your privacy matters to us. We don't share your information with anyone unless you specifically ask us. Your care is completely confidential.

Can I cancel my membership?

Of course. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. No hard feelings.

Do you offer one-time visits?

Yes! You can schedule a single virtual visit for $75. This includes the appointment and 48 hours of follow-up messaging.

Is StrongHealth DPC a replacement for health insurance?

No. We recommend having at least a high-deductible insurance plan for emergencies or services we don’t offer (like hospitalizations or specialists). StrongHealth DPC covers your day-to-day virtual primary care needs.

What if I need labs or imaging?

We can order labs and imaging at affordable self-pay rates through our partner networks. We’ll work with you to find the most cost-effective option.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

We do not prescribe controlled medications (such as opioids, stimulants, or benzodiazepines). We focus on safe, long-term care and can refer you to specialists if needed.
